Even Matatagi couldn't deny it was anything but that. His brothers had already given their second opinion on the situation, too--it's not like he could tell them they were going shopping for them, and with little boy's minds, any time a girl was dressed up to go out with their niichan was a date.
This is...literally the first time it's happened since he can remember, too. Of course they'd jump to that conclusion first. But the more he thinks about it and tries to justify against it, the more he admits...this is a date. They're kept at a respectable distance, although nothing anyone would consider too odd for a couple walking down the road, but it does put him a little at ease to know that Sakura didn't just shove herself onto him like she did with Tenma during practice for FFIV2.
Were it someone he didn't literally travel the galaxy with, he might've been a bit more standoffish towards her. But truth be told, he actually found he somewhat enjoyed all of Inazuma Japan's company. They were reliable. They didn't abandon him at his worst.
And she wasn't abandoning him now, as he walks holding her bag and allowing her to window shop. As for the question though, his brows furrow as he tries to think.]
I think they're into sentai now...robots, too, I think.

Something about 'super cardboard' that they saw on TV that's being specially made to withstand being dropped out of the sky.
