[His face turns panic-stricken for just moment, as if unable to comprehend why no one had made a move on Itsuki before this, whether they saw her male or female.]
[The gakuran did fool him when she walked down the hallways looking for Potpourri, but the moment he grabbed her hand, and the moment he saw those eyes...he knew.]
Things are better left unexplained sometimes, anyway.
[Guess that settles that. Itsuki wasn't going to be an easy one to confess his fascination...no, attraction, to. But hell if that was going to stop him. He'd just have to play the long game, and slowly make her realize it.
He never backed down from a challenge, and this was no different.]
We're here.
[The last turn takes them to river, with steps that lead down into a quaint little square with a soccerfield right by the riverbank. It seemed to be recently made--the tile fairy new and cared for, the paint on the field still fully visible and freshly painted.
Whoever took care of this place obviously loved it very much.]
[ Itsuki admittedly goes a tad wide-eyed, taking in the view as she heads down the steps. With the sun lowering, the light's already sparkling across the water and making the whole scene glow. ]
[He smiles, his blue eyes scanning the area and taking in every glistening bit of that sparkling water. There's something about this place that every soccer player can relate to. It all has this feeling of genuine peace. That you truly can come here at any time and talk about things.
A place that even people who aren't into soccer can just take a moment out of their day and relax.]
My friend's soccer team likes to come here to practice. I can't come here as much, since I live farther away...but I still love it.
I see... then I'm glad you came to see me, if this is such an important place for you.
[ Especially if he doesn't live that close to it. While not a soccer player, Itsuki can acknowledge that there's definitely a pleasant feel to this place. ]
Sounds like your brother and I would get along pretty well.
[He laughs, taking the compliment in stride, moving to sit down on one of those steps. Her description of him matched himself more than he would admit out loud, at least.]
I get in a lot of trouble for going out of my hospital room. I'm sure Fuyuka-san mentioned something back then in the hospital, that I should stay in my room.
[His attention turns to the bag, reaching over to run his fingers along the bump that is undoubtedly Potpourri, the wiggling giving it away as he presses down the tiniest bit in a little poke.]
Thanks to my friends, I'm learning to take it easy...but I also can't be too cautious, either.
I'll miss out on so many things if I worry too much about my health.
[Her 'condition' could not have been more easily met, and it was something that practically excited Taiyou to his core. To think that he'd have to work his way into spending time with her, fitting her schedule, only to have her just as willing to spend time with him back--he knew she was a gentle, kind girl, but maybe he underestimated how much she was holding her hand out to him.
His smile goes wider with a nod.]
Deal.
You can introduce me to your friends, and I'll introduce you to mine.
[Sata WAS curious as to who this mystery girl with the honey-coloured hair was, after all. It's not everyday someone captures Taiyou's heart.]
That's right. Kurumi Erika is the President of the Fashion Club, and Hanasaki Tsubomi is her best friend and Vice-President. It's thanks to them that I'm even in it at all, and they both know about Potpourri.
[ ... but she's not going to mention Chypre and Coffret just yet. ]

He shakes it of, smile right back where it should be.]
Well, that takes away most competition for the lucky boy then, doesn't it?

Really?
Is it just because of the Gakuran?
[Which he can see in some ways.] It never occurred to me once.

I really can't explain it.

I appreciate it, though.
[ really, she does. ]

[With Itsuki's town and Inazumacho so conveniently close, it made the trips all the more satisfying.
He starts down the steps, turning half way to make sure to wait for her.]
Places like this feel full of life, and so I feel the same.

[ Something he probably didn't want to hear, but it makes her smile peacefully. ]
Oniisama also did better outside of a hospital room. He liked to take his energy from the sun... and a place like this really suits you, Taiyou.

Truth is...
I just want to go outside and play soccer!

Well, you already know how I feel about it. She just wants to make sure you don't push yourself so much that you'd have to make it a longer stay.
But I'm glad you're out.

[ Itsuki glances down as the lump squirms and offers a faintly muffled protest. ]
And you're already doing great with that.

[The response is genuine, his smile giving the sun itself competition on who can shine the brightest.]
I'd like to keep it up, if possible.
[A commitment he was completely willing to bend to, in the end. He liked being healthy--sometimes so much that he risked being unhealthy to do it.]
..So. What do you say? Would you like to meet up with me once in awhile?
no subject
... You need to let me come out there too, sometimes. I don't think it's fair if it's just you making the trip out this way.
[ And she's curious about where he lives, too. ]

[ But if he's smiling brightly, then so is she. Sure, it had been a shock, seeing the boy from the hospital standing outside of her school, but...
She's glad, now. If he hadn't made the effort, they probably would have parted ways just like that. ]

The wavy haired girl...she's Erika, right? Tsubomi's definitely a name for a girl with flower petal hair ties...
[He knows his tropes--he is one.]
