[Taiyou's body instinctively leans in to Tenma, feeling that secure grasp he has on his waist, feeling their hair blend together in a golden brown, their smiles illuminating the path they were on brighter than any streetlight could shine.
Tenma counts down, and Taiyou's fingers raise up to pull that ribbon as soon as his lips finish.
Three.
Two.
...
One.
The ribbon is pulled, quickly unraveling and allowing the box to be loosened up on its own. Taiyou, more than eager to see Tenma's reaction, happily waits for that lid to be lifted, blue eyes glittering against the sunset and looking right at Tenma as if he were the only person in the entire universe.
Of course he would be...Taiyou loved him, after all.
Inside the box are two rows of five, inside each slot is a chocolate that is carefully crafted to look like each planet of the solar system. At least...to the best of wikipedia's and Taiyou's ability. They're neatly marked and labeled, and each one is wrapped in a star-patterned tissue paper.]
I'm the sun, Tenma, but you're the entire universe.
[Tenma's eyes are glittering like the stars that'll soon be above them as they land, wide with amazement, on the chocolates displayed before him.
They aren't as professional looking as Aki's. They don't have the careful mom-aided handiwork that Aoi's chocolates and cookies had in past years, either. But it's clearly handmade, and there's only one person he could name as the chef behind it. And the love that must've come with it...
There's only one person in the world who could've made him chocolates like this, and Tenma's smile rivals the brightness of the very star his boyfriend was named after.]
[That face was what made all the effort worth it. Sata had suggested getting something from a shop--just as lovingly made but without the mess in the kitchen. Taiyou had considered it briefly too...but Tenma wasn't someone you could really buy a gift for. After all he'd done for him--given him something to live for, letting him find his strength again after he'd recovered.
Helped him overcome his fear of his own health.
No...something from a chocolates shop wasn't the gift for a boy like this. While the one he made were nowhere near as smooth or soft as what a professional could do, his heart and soul went into each one, a little piece of the sun in every planet.
He was almost bashful now, Tenma's comment blossoming warmth in his heart. If his boyfriend kept this up, he'd be outshone in no time.]
