[That's not an answer he was expecting to hear, but it's enough to satisfy him. If anything, it spiked his curiosity.

His arms rest on his knees at he leans over, eyes now fixed on her.]

Like...runways and fashion, right?

Yep! [ Erika flashes him a grin and a thumbs up. ]

I'm president of my school's Fashion Club, but more importantly, I want to be a designer. So I've been having a few guys here help out, through connections.

[slammoth]

Why not use the guys at your school?

[And then, bluntly.]

Are they all ugly?

[ Sorry, please hold. Erika's laughing too hard to answer him for at least thirty seconds, and then she finally has to cough and try again. ]

Let's just say they're not very cooperative! Guys at my school seem to get the wrong idea if you ask them to be models, apparently.

[slammoth]

[Her laugh gets a little smile on his face, trying to hold back his own as he waits for her to catch her breath. It'd been just such a throwaway comment he had to go think it over again...

And then that chuckle escapes, drowned out with her own.]

Well, can't say I'd be all for it either. It is kind of girly.

[Ibuki says. To a person of the female gender.]

You shouldn't say that until you see it for yourself. I've got the soccer club here cooperating, you know.

[ Wagging a finger, okay-- ]

[slammoth]

The soccer club? That's who you roped into it?

[Give him a moment, he's trying to process this.]

[dynamighty]

Sure did! [ ... she's so proud. ]

[slammoth]

[He leans in closer, plum eyes now lit with a fire behind them.]

I want names.

[dynamighty]

Hold on a sec.

[ And she's immediately putting up a palm between them. ]

I'm not so sure why I owe you that.

[slammoth]

[That palm blocks his view for just a second, before one of those gigantic hands moves it (gently for someone of his size) out of the way as if he were opening drapes.]

You can't just say you've got Raimon doing model work and not give names!

[Especially to him!]

[dynamighty]

I can't just give names without you giving me a name first! That's just rude.

[ ... why is his hand so much bigger than hers ]

[slammoth]

[Look don't ask about longarms mcgee.]

...[Give him time to process this, though, eyes going from her, to the entrance, and then back to her.]


Fine. It's Ibuki Munemasa.

Oh! [ and she brightens. ] Ibuki-kun, like the basketball keeper? Tenma told me about you.

[slammoth]

...Matsukaze?

[Thanks Shindou for not talking about their amazing friendship he had to sit through half a season of your bitching for.]

Yeah, that's me. Ex-basketball, now-goalkeeper at Gassan Kunimitsu.

[dynamighty]

... Aha. You got sucked into the black hole of soccer, huh?

[ She can't deny that she's got much more respect for the sport now, but she's still pretty amused that it had even pulled a basketball player in. ]

I'm Kurumi Erika. Nice to meet you, Ibuki-kun.

[slammoth]

Heh, you could say that. [Almost literally. At the time of his acceptance into Inazuma Japan, he didn't see himself sticking with the sport--only to win FFI and go overseas for basketball. But fate had other plans, and both inside and outside forces had helped him embrace the sport with open arms.

But he holds his hand out, palm out and inviting, ready to take her hand in return.]

...So it's Matsukaze you roped into it? [The idea of Tenma standing still for long enough to model was something was almost TOO rich, hiding a snicker beneath his question.] Now that we're all friends here, you can tell me, right?

[dynamighty]

Mm, yeah. [ Amiably, Erika clasps his hand for a firm greeting. ]

Tenma and some of the other first-years, but it's mostly Kirino-kun and Takuto, because they at least know how to sit still.

[ And Tsubomi's dating one of them, so he can't possibly refuse anyway. ]

Yeah, he is. He's actually a lot less stiff about it than he used to be.

[That surprise quickly melts away into amusement, smile plastered clear across his face.]
