[Oh no, Bull, Shindou Takuto isn't taking that hand of yours. What the heck did you just call him? What sort of impression did Ibuki leave on you? What did Ibuki even tell you??]

Nicknames don't have sexes, kid. But if it makes you feel better, we'll go with Prince.

[He keeps that hand extended, clearly waiting.]

Or, you know. You could introduce yourself.

I'm...

[Nicknames might not but titles do. He has to compose himself with a deep breath before answering, deciding Prince is fine and that the man (man?) had a point. This is Ibuki's friend, and he's a Shindou. He has to act accordingly.]

My name is Shindou Takuto. You are the Iron Bull?

[He finally reaches across to take that hand, one small, delicate palm pressing into a part of Bull's bigger one.]

Damn straight.

[He shakes the kid's hand. A few times. Not trying to squeeze it or crush it. Just your every day, average handshake. Before letting go.]

Picked it myself. You?

[shikisuru]

[Shindou's hand drops neatly to his side.]

My name was given to me by my mother and father. I've been told the character is one that's passed down from father to son in the family.

[rideme]

Ahhh... one of those, eh? And you never picked anything for yourself?

No nicknames?

[He's curious, okay, shincess?]

[shikisuru]

My friends call me what they like, but I wouldn't consider any of them nicknames.

I answer to what they decide.

[rideme]

Hopefully they decide on some good shit then.

[There's a playful nudge of huge knuckles to Shindou's shoulder.]

All right! Let's get on with this.

[shikisuru]

[Hopefully Ibuki has a good explanation for that princess comment if he wants to get laid any time in the next week. But Shindou smiles at Bull and nods, picking up a soccer ball that was left nearby.]

Of course. How much did he teach you?

[rideme]

You kick a ball.

Score points.

Only the tall kid gets to touch it with his hands.

[shikisuru]

.... The goalie.

Sometimes goalies are much shorter than that one. But you... aren't wrong.

Let's go outside.

[rideme]

Yeah, that one. I dunked him in a hoop for a while.

[But he heaves himself up, regardless, dusting off his hands.]

Sure thing.

[shikisuru]

[Shindou will lead him out into a yard. It's probably his own house, so they end up in a backyard the size of an average soccer field, because this family is just rich. There, he drops the ball by his feet and nudges it gently over to Bull.]

You dunked him in a hoop? He let you?

[rideme]

[Bull just grins. Lopsided and smug. He winks -- which is no mean feat, considering his one whole eye.]

He didn't have a choice.

[He glances down, and kind of. Awkwardly. Nudges it too???]

[shikisuru]

That's impressive. All nearly-six-feet of him is just competitiveness. He must've been shocked.

[Just kicking it back and forth is going to be awkward. Shindou decides to take the ball and kick it between his feet.]

Try taking it from me.

[rideme]

Sort of.

[Since Bull is like. Seven-foot-plus.]

[Speaking of which, he raises an eyebrow. And... just. Moves to try and pick Shindou the fuck up.]

[shikisuru]

What--

N-no! Not like that, Bull! You have to take the ball with your feet!

[BACKING THE HELL UP with the ball]

[rideme]

Oh.

Well. You should have fuckin' said so, kid.

[All right, fine. He'll just try to punt the ball out from under him.]

[shikisuru]

[DID IBUKI TEACH HIM NOTHING]

Well-- all right.

[Shindou is quick to skip out of the way, taking the ball with him. It's maneuvered easily away from Bull's feet.]

You can only use your feet, and rough play against your opponent may be considered a foul.

[rideme]

[NOTHING.]

Then how the hell are you supposed to get it away?

Have you looked at me, kid?

[Bull you can't NOT look at you.]

[shikisuru]

No intentional harming or grabbing, is what I mean.

Tackling and sliding to swipe the ball away are fine, but you can't... pick people up. Usually.

[rideme]

[Shindou no.]

Usually? Who gets to pick people up? I'll play that.

[shikisuru]

There have been some matches where it happened, but it's no particular position.

You kick. That's the basics of soccer.

So... I just gotta punt the ball. To the net.

And I win?

Sure.

I wouldn't let it be that easy, but if you can get it, I can get something for you in celebration. Lunch?
