We'd need a soccer field to really test that out, old man. But pretty high!

[Watch, he's grabbing that basketball and dribbling it towards the hoop, jumping up to slam it right through the net. It's clean, it's precise, and most importantly, Ibuki probably didn't even break a sweat doing it.].

... old man? The hell is wrong with all of you.

[He's not that old.]

[But all right. He'll watch. And nod approvingly.] Well shit, kid. Not bad. Put a weapon in your hand, you'd be a terror.

[slammoth]

Weapon...

[He blinks, his voice low, but contemplative.]

I'd get arrested.

[Neither is he, Bull. Neither is he.]

... why would you get arrested?

[Because that's illegal, Bull.]

[slammoth]

[Is this guy stupid--he's pretty sure he's not but...is he stupid?]

You don't just carry weapons around!

...There's laws against carrying weapons.


[His voice is bewildered, honestly. How did this man not get arrested. Are the police force that lazy. Should he be calling the police right now?

How would he even describe this over the phone.]

... you'd probably get killed if you weren't armed, back there.

[He shakes his head, and spreads empty hands.]

Don't worry about it though. I left 'em at my place.

[slammoth]

[Ibuki has to admit, he did give Bull a bit of a once over before going back to dribbling.]

So where are you from, anyway?

[With a toss over his shoulder, he makes one more basket before walking over to grab his stuff. Guess he could treat the guy to SOMETHING. Maybe ice cream or a bag of chips.]

Are you an alien?

[He's totally going to watch that ball fly. Damn -- this kid is good. There's got to be a use for that somehow.]

Nah. I'm Qunari. We're kind of normal for that place.

[slammoth]

That sounds like a planet. Like Fallum Orbius.

[Or...all the other planets. But that one was the one that'd threatened to blow their planet up so...maybe it sticks out more than the others.]

Every alien is normal to their own planet.

Never heard of it.

[Honestly, the concept of planets is a new one. But oh well.]

Or aliens. What's an alien?

...[The idea that Bull's world hasn't even thought of space travel flies right over his head.]

You know. Outer space?

Outer space is... well. Can't say anyone ever talks about that.

[slammoth]

It's not as great as everyone says.

[He just said no one talks about it, Ibuki.]

It's either too hot or too weird and bird people throw you into volcanoes.

Wait -- bird people?

[slammoth]

Yeah, with wings and beaks and everything.

They threw me and my friend into a volcano. [On a ledge just small enough to catch them and avoid the lava, the dicks.]

Why the hell did you go to a place like that?

[slammoth]

...We had to play soccer against them for the fate of Earth in a galaxy wide tournament. Whoever loses gets their planet destroyed.


[Yeah shit was p. heavy.]

... so did their planet blow up or what?

[BULL NO.]

[slammoth]

No! [He grips that basketball pretty fiercely.]

Earth won, and we decided soccer shouldn't be used to decide someone's fate.


[Oh god, he's starting to sound like Tenma...]

... Sounds like a good victory, all things considered, kid.

[He grins. Reaching over to fluff at the kid's hair.]

[slammoth]

[Okay, he's not above some good ol' fashioned congrats, his head leaning in a little to the touch. It's not...too unlike his dad doing it, after all.]

My basketball days are over now because of it...I'm a soccer freak now.

[rideme]

That a bad thing?

[He'll just keep his hand on that puffy white hair, then, since this guy clearly has no objections. He'd go in for the full noogie if they knew each other better.]

No way, I'm the team's goalie. They need me!

[He does pull away from that hand, but not out of rejection, he just has to go get his bag--they're getting food, aren't they?]
