[It isn't until she sees him that she realizes that she has no idea what to say to him.

Aside from what had happened all those months ago, she hadn't seen him since they were both much smaller. Since he'd run away, and left her with Mother. Not that she blames him for that--she'd always tried to appease Mother, be a good daughter. And she'd succeeded, mostly, until she'd saved Nebby and all of the rest.

But it's a shocking thing, to suddenly come to terms with the fact that you don't know your own brother. She can recall things about him as a child; things like the defiant look in his eyes the first time he'd cut his hair that way, or the way he'd played with her when they were small. She knows next to nothing about this Gladion, the one who commands his Pokemon with confidence and quiet affection.

She wonders if he, too, doesn't know how to process this; how to reconcile the Lillie with skin tanned from the sun and a band-aid on her skinned knee with the child he'd once known.

Her expression is nothing short of determined, if a little uncomfortable.]

Of course, I did. You're my brother. And Alola is my home.

[Did he think she was gone forever? Lillie feels as though she's stating the obvious. She fidgets with her backpack, rocking back on her heels, before moving closer.]

I would've thought you would be back at Aether, with Wicke.
