[The lack of an answer only puts Tsurugi more on edge, eye trained on that alley as he makes his way to the corner. Fifth Sector had often placed spies to make sure he was doing his job as a Seed, and he can't help but wonder if there were independent agents still roaming about freely. Kuroki comes to mind, wondering if a warrant for his arrest was ever really issued.
All of these thoughts seem to cloud his mind, but his eyes never leave that alley. And as a precaution, the moment he gets to that turn in the sidewalk, he makes a right--away from his house.
If there was someone tailing him, he could at least insure the safety of his family by leading the person away. But no one follows, nothing but the setting sun casting his shadow that licked at his heels across the crosswalk. Nothing that gave an indication that someone was on his tail. In hindsight, he felt a little silly, being so paranoid, but Fifth Sector and God Eden never truly left you once you experienced it--a special kind of hell on Earth that morphed your way of thinking.
Once he reaches the opposing sidewalk, he sighs, eyes shutting as he exhales out his anxiety.]
[Dark Shadow does its job as spy and the intimidation as he pulls back to give Tokoyami information.
He truly has no real idea on the other guy's intended destination or his true intention. But as Tokoyami attempts to watch him he notices how careful Tsurugi is. Maybe his suspicions about the other weren't unfounded.
Whatever the case, his game grows interesting. Night would be here soon, meaning more cover for him and Dark Shadow.
Shadow makes the forward stretch across the alley again, leading Tokoyami in his pursuit of the kid. Tsurugi's crossing of the sidewalk is the opening he needs, prompting him to race from his hiding spot to lay his back flat against the alleyway, Dark Shadow retreating to the darkness.
That is before Dark Shadow makes a small 'heh' noise.]
[Tsurugi's senses heighten as he walks, taking a rather roundabout way to his house instead of the usual, just in case he'd been too quick to cast aside the suspicion. He'd made the mistake before, with Tenma following him to the hospital that one time, and this could be something far more dangerous than a boy who didn't want to make soccer cry.
Another corner turned, another crosswalk to wait at, and he pulls out his phone to send his mother a text, saying he'd be a bit late coming home.
No sense in worrying her with the details, though. The last thing she needs is a heart attack about her other son potentially being in danger. Even if...that eerie feeling that he's being followed never officially left.
The soft 'heh' catches his ear, though, and his head snaps around in the direction of it.]
